What a thunder storm last night. It sounded like we were back in the mid-west. Oh, we were in the mid-west. I'm glad there wasn't any tornadoes. There wouldn't have been a place to go.
It's early in the season for most RV'ers. There was only three of us at the camp. By morning we were the only ones there. I wonder if the others got scared and left. Or if they were just smart enough to leave while the going was good.
We were parked as close to the showers as possible. Just walking across the road, we got so bogged down. A couple of times my shoes stuck in the gunkie mud. By the time we got to the shower house, I was at least 3" taller. Thank goodness we were wearing our shower thongs. It would have ruined regular shoes. Going back to the truck was tricky, but we found rock and grass, so didn't get our feet quite as dirty.
THEN...the truck got stuck so we couldn't leave. Jim had to walk to the filling station to get help. There was no one at the RV office. So for $30., we got the truck pulled out by the city.
When we got back on I-90, I saw a sign for Winner, SD, 35 miles south. My dad was born there 91 years ago, May 22.
We must have misunderstood when our sale was suppose to be today. We thought it was from 5:00 to 7:00. The people came from 5:30 - 7:30. We were getting worried the first 30 minutes that no one was coming. We ended up with a good sale anyway.
