We worked in the ABC today, getting the pre-orders and more books and food for the truck. Chad helped us, so it was a relative painless process. Since I started working later in the morning, I made up for it by taking off early.
Chad and Mandy invited us to supper at their house. It was wonderful having a home cooked meal with friends. Mandy is a great cook. We enjoyed our visit so much.
For the past couple of days we have driven by fields of wonderful corn that looked so good. So Mandy fixed us corn on the cob. I had to quit after three ears, I just wasn't hungry anymore. It was so fresh and tender.
And they fixed us a to-go bag that will keep us all through Sough Dakota, I'm sure. We have corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, homemade breakfast bread and jam. And we cooked a vege dinner roast at the ABC, so will have that for meals this week too. I can't wait to eat my way through the week.
