Mar 3 Cortez, CO

After breakfast I had visions of taking a nap before we got on the road. Since Jim never takes naps, I guess he didn't realize that sleeping is part of a nap. So while I tried to sleep, he opened both doors a couple times, set on the bed, wiggled, coughed and talked to himself. Good thing I couldn't hear half of it, since there's still fluid in my ears. It looks like I'm just going to have to 'be well', cause I can't stand being sick much longer.

We had a 3 hour sale tonight. We were so busy. It was steady business with a line for at least 2 1/2 hours. We met some very nice people. One guy even back handed me. It could be that I walked into his hand while he was moving it quickly - could be.

Ron and Nellie and her mother Esther, came back as we were closing up, and asked if we would like to go eat with them. We met another couple at the restaurant, Rosie and Bob. What a wonderful thing for these people to do.

We started connecting the dots while we were eating. Rosie and Bob were at Monteray Bay Academy when my son David was there.

And Nellie and Ron are friends with the sister-in-law of Terry Chesnut, our boss at the Press. They're not charging more than $5.00 to send word back about how great we are for this job.

It was a very special evening for us. We enjoyed making new friends.
