October 19 Santa Fe, NM

It feels like a long day driving. I read four children's books while I rode. They were good books, but that gets old. I guess the 6-9 age group could be a little young for me. But I do like to know what the books are about and how I should recommend them.

We were planning on seeing Larry and Donna Daggs after our sale tonight. But they couldn't make it at the last minute. We're disappointed. They were school mates at E.A. too.

Our sale was bigger than last year. That's always nice. The people were very friendly.

When we entered New Mexico, we had a hot shot inspector at the weight station. He said he could hear an air leak, so we had to park so he could do an inspection. He checked everything he think of, from the horn to under the hood. Jim has been taking such good care of the truck repairs that he couldn't find anything 'real' wrong. So he gave us a couple 'warnings' such as Jim not keeping the log book correctly. It's interesting that during all our travels so far and all the weight stations, no one else thought it was wrong. But in spite of all the time wasted, we still made it to our sale early by a little bit!
